Every day that goes by is another day that the people of the United States of America become more dependent on technology. It is sad to think that now instead of reading the newspaper, we can click on a little blue application with a bird on it and see everything that would be in the paper via social media and technology. Of course there are many advantages, but there are also numerous disadvantages. Speaking of disadvantages, I wanted to dedicate this new blog post to the new devices students that attend Okemos Public Schools will be receiving shortly.
When I first heard about about these new "Personal Learning Devices", I wasn't sure what to expect. I was very interested to see what it would be like. I was most interested in what they were going to be used for. I think that these tablets will be very convenient for students. It will be a lot easier for students to not have to haul around their textbooks constantly. That is the number one advantage that stands out to me! How about you, my fellow peers? What are you looking forward to most?
Although I do think these PDS's will be very handy, there are a lot of issues that I can see happening when we have them. What if all our files get erased when we are taking notes? Or what if it dies? Will all the information that hasn't been saved yet be saved? I think these are very valid questions that must be answered before we stop doing everything the traditional way with a pen and paper and resort to PSD's. What are your thoughts, bloggers?
